MEET BRI
Thank you for electing me to represent you on Martinez City Council. While I am the representative for District 3, I have proudly represented everyone in Martinez: longtime Martinez residents and newcomers to the city; young families just starting out, and retired people with deep roots in the community; the neighbors we see at the farmer’s market every weekend and the owners of the locally-owned businesses, restaurants, bars, and breweries we patronize regularly.
Now I ask for your vote to become your next Mayor to lead a new City Council.
I am a mother and stepmother of three kids ages 7, 17, and 20. My family has lived in Martinez since 2015 and I have been proud to call Martinez my home since the day we moved in!
I grew up in the Seattle area and earned a BS in Botany, a BA in Anthropology, and a minor in Japanese from the University of Washington. I have worked in the non-profit sector and environmental consulting for 16 years. As a wetland scientist, my experience has focused on environmental management, sediment remediation, and the restoration of contaminated waterfront properties. My experience includes botanical garden management, permitting and regulatory support, biological compliance monitoring, evaluation of environmental liability, and wetland delineation and surveys.
I love being a member of the Martinez community! I like to kayak at the waterfront, ride my bike downtown, hike in Briones, and camp in Tahoe.
My elected and appointed positions include:
City of Martinez Councilmember, District 3
City Council Subcommittee: Economic Development
City Council Ad Hoc Subcommittee: Funding Solutions to Benefit the Unhoused in Martinez
City Council Ad Hoc Subcommittee: Redistricting
MCE Clean Energy Board member
City of Martinez Parks, Recreation, Marina, Cultural Commission (PRMCC) Commissioner
City of Martinez Measure H Oversight Committee
Las Juntas Elementary Site Council, Martinez
